Sokhnadiarra Ndiaye is a sophomore studying Africana Studies with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. Having entered Cornell during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an understatement to say that Sokhnadiarra’s college experience is one she’ll never forget. Welcomed by testing lines, boxed lunches, and masked faces, she, much like the Class of 2024, has learned to smile with her eyes and form community even while six feet apart. The pandemic served as an unexpected opportunity for self-reflection, leading to the understanding of the deep-seated need for community in the journey towards self-realization. This led her to serve as an Engaged Ambassador on campus, facilitating dialogues about identity and community and connecting people with opportunities to serve others. She hopes to continue to bring people together and have an impact on an international level.

Join us for Soup & Hope 2022
For more than a decade, dozens of Soup & Hope speakers have touched, inspired, motivated, and stirred the hearts of those who gather during the winter months at Sage Chapel. Stories have come from a wide range of Cornell staff, faculty, students, alumni, and community members. They reflect diverse personal, cultural, religious, political, and philosophical beliefs and experiences. Each story is shared among friends and colleagues, traditionally over bowls of hot soup and bread.
COVID event guidelines
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are tentatively planning for an in-person Soup & Hope series in 2022. Please RSVP for each of the Soup & Hope talks you would like to attend so that we may appropriately plan for each event and keep you better informed of any changes.
Attendees & RSVP
in-person Soup & Hope series is open to current Cornell students, staff, and faculty. To RSVP, you need to be logged in to CampusGroups. If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to complete a guest account with your Cornell netID.
